Overview

Wallscape records graffiti, murals and street art hidden around the city with their coordinates. A feed and map let people keep the location of vanishing works and follow an artist’s trail.

Challenge

Every photo needs location, artist and tags, so uploading could easily feel heavy. Nearby works had to appear on the map instantly, and the app needed an install-to-home-screen experience without an app store.

Solution

Photo GPS data drops a pin automatically; artist and tags can be filled in later. Spatial queries run in the database for fast radius search. The site installs as a PWA, and the same code is packaged as an Android app. Korean and English ship together.

Strategy

01

Record-first design

Upload is split into photo → location → the rest, so a record exists even with minimal input.

02

Map-centric browsing

Pins on Kakao Map with radius search show what is near you right now.

03

Install experience

PWA home-screen install, then the same code packaged as an Android app.

04

Community operations

Feed, feedback channel and localization welcome artists from abroad.
