Two dates sellers need
Naver Smart Store is retiring its Exhibition (기획전) feature. Two dates matter:
- October 28 — new Exhibition registration is blocked
- November 25 — the Exhibition service shuts down
Existing exhibitions stop displaying after shutdown
The critical detail is what happens to what already exists. After the service ends, existing exhibitions and their related features will no longer be displayed. This is not only a block on creating new ones — live exhibitions disappear from the storefront too.
Any exhibition URL currently used in external advertising, social profiles, or messaging campaigns becomes a dead link. That makes inventorying those placements the first task, not the last.
The replacement: Store Content
Naver will open a new Store Content tool for running exhibitions and store events on October 14 — two weeks before Exhibition registration closes on October 28. That two-week overlap is effectively the migration window.
What you can build
Sellers can combine images, video, coupons, and Shopping Live, or build content with Smart Editor. Where Exhibitions centered on product bundles, Store Content shifts the weight toward content formats.
Where it can appear
Content produced in the tool can surface in several placements:
- Store menu
- Pop-ups
- Marketing layers
- Strip banners
- Search box banners
More placements means one piece of content can be reused across surfaces — operationally different from the old model where an exhibition was a single page.
Seller migration checklist
1. Inventory every live exhibition
List the exhibitions currently running, every external placement pointing at their URLs, and any scheduled promotions built on them. They all go dark simultaneously on November 25, so anything missed becomes a broken link.
2. Rebuild year-end promotions against the shutdown date
November 25 lands just after Black Friday and at the start of the year-end season. Any holiday promotion planned as an exhibition needs to be redesigned in Store Content.
3. Run both tools in parallel from October 14
Between Store Content opening on October 14 and Exhibition registration closing on October 28, both tools coexist. Porting one significant exhibition during that window and comparing results makes the remaining month of migration substantially easier.
A tool change on a sales channel rarely ends at rebuilding content. Product data and merchandising structure usually need work alongside it, which is why anchoring the migration to the deadline is the risky option. See our services for the scope of commerce operations support.
