Reddit is adding three AI-powered tools to Reddit Ads Manager: a campaign planner that forecasts results before launch, an optimization score that grades campaign setup, and campaign budget optimization that shifts spend across ad groups automatically. The planner and optimization score roll out to all advertisers through October.
Reddit’s three new ad tools
1. Campaign planner: see the numbers before launch
The planner forecasts reach, impressions and cost before a campaign goes live. It also shows how consistently the targeted audience is active and summarizes conversation themes across the selected subreddits — community context advertisers can use before spending.
2. Optimization score: a 0–100% setup check
Campaigns get a score from 0% to 100%, with recommendations to raise it. Reddit says advertisers with a score of 80% or higher saw 19.6% lower blended CPA.
3. Campaign budget optimization
Budget moves automatically between ad groups in a campaign based on performance, cutting down on manual reallocation.
How advertisers should use them
- Reddit sells conversation context. Use the subreddit themes from the planner in your creative so ads fit the community’s tone.
- Treat the score as a starting point. Recommendations will likely lower CPA, but check suggestions like budget increases against your own goals.
- Reddit’s performance stack is growing fast. See Reddit Lead Gen Ads Get AI Max Campaigns, In-Market Audiences for lead-gen updates, and Reddit’s 2026 Midterm Election Plan for how it’s protecting platform trust.
